Join KBFThe FishOPS Challenge Series offers new anglers the opportunity to compete in a low barrier to entry series and learn the ins and outs of the KBF Catch – Photo – Release (CPR) format and rules while competing for premium prizes and supporting Veterans and Homeland Heroes through club donations from a portion of entry fees.
KBF FishOPS Challenge Series Overview** This series also qualifies the overall top 25% from each state/series for the KBF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP for the following year.
Month long challenges where anglers compete against other anglers in their state for a monthly payout and qualification for the KBF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP and KBF CHALLENGE Series Championship. KBF will also recognize an Angler of the Year for each state that meets the minimum participation requirements with a premium trophy from Ketch Products.
KBF STATE CHALLENGE Series Overview** This series also qualifies the overall top 25% from each state for the KBF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP and KBF CHALLENGE Series Championship for that year.
For 2025, KBF established a KBF REGIONAL Challenge Series for members to compete for recognition as regional champions. This series is a year long BEST FIVE fish for the purpose of establishing catch numbers for each region and ensuring that the regions are as fair and balanced as possible. This data will be used to establish permanent regions and a REGIONAL Angler of the Year for 2026 and beyond.
Regional Challenge Series Registration** This series also qualifies the overall top 25% from each REGION for the KBF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP for that year.
For 2025, KBF has instituted a State Record Series for largemouth and smallmouth bass. Throughout the year KBF MEMBERS can submit their best catches from the past that used the KBF (or similar) Catch, Photo and Release (CPR) Rules for consideration as recognition as the KBF STATE RECORD. The records are club records for KBF with the goal of establishing the standard for records recognition for CPR and ultimately offering prizes and payouts for breaking an established club record.

KBF partnered with Torqeedo to establish an opportunity to recognize the TOP TEN fish totals from anglers across the country. For 2023 and 2024, we only offered an overall TOP TEN leaderboard showing nationwide catch totals. For 2025, KBF established leaderboards for each state and additional opportunities for premium prize packages currently totaling over $14,000.
